What about OSX Lion?..

In July 2011, Apple released OSX Lion.
Naturally, given the way that previous major releases of OSX have made older applications ‘break’, many people will be concerned about whether MacStitch still works if you upgrade to Lion, and our plans.

This page will be updated whenever we hear of an issue or have any hints or tips.

As of 23 July, there have been no reported problems, no show stopper issues, and therefore , for the moment, we do not plan to release a patch specifically for Lion.

Installation:
We have installed Lion and installed MacStitch 2012 on it successfully.

Usage:
We have designed several charts , saved , printed, and exported to PDF.

Visually:
Scrollbars now take on the Lion style.
‘Natural’ scrolling works without any need for tweaking.
Button styles have changed a little.. some controls are differently sized.

Lion specific features:
Lion’s r
esume mode will restart MacStitch automatically if it is open when you close down Lion.
It does not appear to automatically re-open a document which is open at the time. (But the recent files menu is available)
Full screen mode: untested as yet.
Autosave/Versions: Macstitch is not written to implement Lion’s autosave feature, but it has its own.
LaunchPad: Installation of Macstitch will cause an icon to appear in Launchpad.
Muti-touch gestures:Some work
Mission Control: Compatible
App Store: MacStitch is not for sale on the App Store
