MacStitch and Winstitch Lite released
Featuring the same friendly ease-of-use, these editions focus on what you need to design cross stitch designs at home, and don't clutter things up with advanced options needed by the more advanced user.
However, you can import images and turn them into charts using the Image Import Wizard, and if you ever need the facilities of the full editions, you can upgrade at any time for the difference in price.
WInStitch Lite replaces 'Stitch SImplicity' in the range, while MacStitch Lite represents the first truly budget-priced software for the Mac Market.

MacStitch/WinStitch 2009 R5.4 released

Ursa Software are pleased to announce the release of version 5.4 of the popular cross stitch design programs WinStitch and MacStitch.
In addition to the existing fully featured programs (check the web site for more details), this interim update adds the following changes:
New features:
Added 'single page' print
Added Export to PDF
Added usage count to histogram so the usage can be seen without having to print
Added 'default folder' to prefs screen so that a favourite documents folder can be used
Fixes:
Fixed colour symbols not updated properly after 'add thread' option was used.
changed some italian translations
Allowed imported images to create charts up to 999x999 and increased number of import colours
Fixed colours displaying incorrectly when pasting
Changed import screen to prevent seizing up on windows and simplify the layout
Fixed problem with saved printersetup options causing Windows version to crash.
Stopped repeated use of the space bar turning eyedropper permanently

This version adds the ability to create and edit borders files.
Borders can then be used to create an empty frame to start work with, or can be added around an existing design.
Print Preview has been overhauled giving a true print preview ( you can scroll through all pages)
All printing options are now available on the same screen.
The program now uses custom cursors while drawing lines, circles, etc.
